Do I need to be a good public speaker? 

No! MUN is a great place to learn public speaking. Everyone starts at a different level, and teachers and peers help you improve. You are never expected to be perfect.

What topics are discussed? 

Topics may include: Climate change, World health, Human rights, Education, Technology and safety

All topics are age-appropriate for middle school students.

Will I be speaking the whole time? 

No. You will listen, work in small groups, write ideas, and speak only when you feel ready. Chairs guide the discussion.

Do I need to know everything about my country? 

Not at all. You will research your country ahead of time, and you can bring notes. MUN is about learning, not memorizing facts.
